When is “Tarpon Season”?

There is no “official” tarpon season. But, Capt. Dave runs tarpon fishing charters in Boca Grande for the months of May and June each year.

Where do you fish?

The Tampa Bay, Charlotte Harbor, and Boca Grande areas depending on time of year and what you want to target.

What's included on a fishing charter?

Fishing licenses, bait, use of tackle, ice in the cooler, gas in the boat, cleaned and bagged fish (when in season and of legal size).

What should we bring on a fishing charter?

Hats, sunglasses, sunscreen, light windbreaker (for morning runs), camera, and a happy disposition.

What can we catch when it's not tarpon season?

Redfish, snook, trout, sheephead, Spanish mackerel, jack crevelle, sharks… etc. All depends on the time of year.

Will you clean my catch?

Absolutely!

Will you teach me how to fish the Tampa Bay or Boca Grande area?

Absolutely!

Will you teach me how to fish in general?

Absolutely!
